SYNOPSIS

Carol and Mark are going to a funeral. So for the first time their children, 10 year old David and fifteen year old Emma, will be left on their own for the night. The parents expect Emma to tuck David in bed and then get an early night. But the children have other plans.

Emma’s never been to a night-club and tonight’s the night when she gets to put on her party frock and dance ‘till dawn. And then there’s David. All David wants to do is prove the existence of God.

His plan is simple. Kill his domineering Dad’s prized and beloved canary, Shirley, then use the power of prayer to bring her back to life. What could possibly go wrong?

Will Emma get her night of freedom? Will David prove the existence of God? Will the Shirley the canary survive the night? And will Carol and Mark return to find their home and lives changed forever?
